Shop founder Christy Brooker created her client-centric shop with the understanding that tattoos are highly personal, often emotional and permanent on skin and in memory. I believe that people should be able to go to a tattoo studio and not be intimidated. It should be comfortable, inviting, relaxing and friendly. They should feel like they just walked into a friend’s house. I created Damask Tattoo to be that place. My vision was a tattoo studio that felt like a spa. Getting tattooed can be very intense. On top of the physical pain and emotions, the uncertainty of the shop atmosphere can weigh heavily on a client's mind - particularly when a tattoo is in an intimate or exceptionally painful area. Damask's simple details like private rooms with the option of closed doors can put a client's mind a ease that the environment will be peaceful and private.

Each tattoo room is private and has a door so if you are not comfortable with the state of dress you will be in we can shut the door.  Sometimes tattoos can be emotional and very personal too.  You can feel good about letting the experience be whatever you need it to be here. - Christy Brooker

Celebrate Off the Map Tattoo's Third Anniversary!

Come celebrate with us tomorrow night at Off the Map Tattoo in downtown Grants Pass! This year marks Off the Map's third year in business in our town. Balms and Salves Get a Makover

Our botanical balms, salves and muscle rubs were given a major makeover! We've spent the past few months drawing and designing to update the look of these favorites. Plus, we've added a 4oz size of our Garden Carrot Hand Cream!

Most graphic elements of our labels start out as pen-and-ink drawings made by Ash. She then softly watercolors these drawings before working them into our digital label designs.

Our ever-popular Ink Balm and Ink Spray were also included in the update, complete with a swallow holding lavender buds!

New & Improved Ink Spray Tattoo Aftercare Available Now

Our Ink Spray Tattoo Aftercare has been one of our most popular items - and we've just made it better! Ink Spray now has more precious essential oils and better astringent properties thanks to a higher quality Witch Hazel Extract.

This simple spray relieves discomfort associated with healing tattoos and other skin abrasions. A gentle astringent base of organic Witch Hazel and Calendula Extract tighten pores to reduce bleeding and ink loss. Essential Oils of Lavender, Peppermint, Helichrysum and German Chamomile soothe tender, itchy skin and promote healing.

For fresh tattoos, wash gently with a mild antibacterial soap 2-5 times per day. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Lightly apply Ink Spray and allow to air dry.
Ink Spray can be used alone for dry healing or in combination with our Ink Balm.

We recommend applying Ink Spray prior to applying Ink Balm. Ink Spray can also be used in between washings to relieve discomfort and itching.

Alternatively, apply only Ink Spray after washing for the first 2-3 days of healing, or until the skin is dry and tight. Then begin applying Ink Balm after applying Ink Spray to hydrate skin and prevent cracking. Continue until your tattoo is fully healed.
